Dental Veneers, Barrie Dentist

Correct Imperfections & Hide Discolouration

Veneers are thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made in a dental laboratory to help alter the shape and colour of your teeth.

At Big Bay Point Dentistry, we use veneers to create a more uniform smile for our patients. Veneers and Lumineers are bonded to the front of your natural tooth to change the symmetry, shape, or colour of your smile.

It is surprising how much of a difference veneers can make in the appearance of your smile and teeth. If you have any questions about veneers or if you want to see if veneers may be right for you, contact Big Bay Point Dentistry.

Lumineers®

Lumineers are ultra-thin veneers that can often be placed with little to no removal of the natural tooth structure. At Big Bay Point Dentistry, we offer Lumineers to help patients achieve a smile they are proud to show off.

How Veneers Work

Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth to use as a template for creating your custom veneers. Once your veneers have been made, they will be bonded to the fronts of your natural teeth.

Made from razor-thin pieces of porcelain, veneers are custom-shaped to alter the appearance of the affected teeth, allowing them to blend seamlessly with your other teeth. The porcelain imitates the translucency of tooth enamel and provides the restorations with a more natural look and feel.

Features of Veneers

If you are looking to alter the shape of individual teeth or the look of your whole smile, you may want to consider dental veneers as a less intrusive alternative to dental crowns.

Conditions that dental veneers can help to resolve include worn, crooked, or discoloured teeth. They can also be used to reduce unwanted spacing and change the size of individual teeth.

Dental veneers can last for many years if cared for properly.
